High School Information

We strongly encourage you to re-visit the information on the high school webpage throughout the school year. Our calendar & daily announcements (below) are updated daily and provide crucial information for student success! 

DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS: Below you will find the announcements which are displayed throughout our building daily. These announcements are also emailed out to students every morning when school is in session.

REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS, PARENTS/GUARDIANS:

Late Arrival Mondays have returned to provide teachers time to work with their team(s) on providing the best instructional practices. Doors open at 7:30am Tuesday-Friday, 8:30am Mondays, for arrival of students wishing to eat breakfast. First period starts at 8:00 AM Tuesday-Friday and 9:00am Monday. Student dismissal occurs at the conclusion of the school day at 3:00pm. Students in grades 9-12 in good academic standing Monday-Friday MAY be given the privilege of an early dismissal during advisement on Friday as long as their teachers do not need them & they did not miss any assignments during the week.  Advisement is also a time for clubs & extra-curriculars to meet.        

The morning BOCES bus will leave PROMPTLY at 8:43 a.m. Monday through Friday to transport students to BOCES Wildwood Campus. AM BOCES students will attend BOCES from 9am-11:30am and will return to CGHS after their morning BOCES instruction for lunch/ afternoon classes at CGHS. PM BOCES students will leave immediately following 5th period (lunch @ C-G) Monday through Friday, attend BOCES from 12-2:30pm and return to CG after their afternoon BOCES instruction for the remainder of instructional period(s) at CGHS. If your child attends BOCES, there is additional information included in our student handbook and a link to a pre-recorded video orientation for BOCES students and parents which is available on our website, It is the expectation that students attend their BOCES program on days that the Wildwood BOCES campus is in session and CG is not. 

(In the event of a 2 hour delay on Tues-Fri, the AM BOCES bus will leave C-G campus at 9:45a.m. ) **Monday 2 hour delays, information regarding BOCES will be forthcoming from the automated notification system.

REMINDER TO ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS:  If your child is absent from school, please contact Mrs. Schaumberg for reported attendance, (607) 698-4225 ext. 2400 and briefly state your name, your child's name and the reason for absence.  In addition, if your child is arriving late to school or having early dismissal, please make certain to have your child check in with Mrs. Schaumberg in the main office & provide a note to Mrs. Schaumberg to properly update attendance records.  Should your child be arriving late to school from a doctor's appt., dental appt., etc., please make certain to send a note from the physician stating your child was seen in their office that day. This will help to accurately update your child's attendance records.

The yellow student/parent/contact form that was sent home in the August mailing should be reviewed, the necessary corrections noted, signed at the bottom of the form and then returned to the high school main office. Please send this form in ASAP so we can have the most recent information on file! In addition, if your information changes at any time throughout the year, please make certain to notify the main office staff so we can have the most up to date contact information on file as a way to communicate effectively with you!

OPEROO: The school will be using Operoo for additional forms beyond athletics this year.  Please watch for needed forms, permission slips, etc. through the Operoo app. Please make sure you have registered for an account at https://app.operoo.com If you need an account or password reset, please contact the District office at dambuski@cgcsd.org.

PARENT/STUDENT PORTAL: Parents & students have access to schedules, assignments, grades, and other information via our school management system, SchoolTool. Visit the CGCSD website to set up your parent portal.

High School students will be provided with a shortcut link to the student handbook on their school issued laptop that contains the Code of Conduct, the Acceptable Use Policy, other district policies and other important information pertaining to the school year. This information will also be available on our high school website. Please make certain to review this information with your child and contact the High School Office with any questions.
